World Drift GP Group of Companies which owns title in the European Drift GP ChampionshipTM and the World Drift GP ChampionshipTM has reached an agreement with Drift-GP.com for the launch of the 2017 European Drift GP ChampionshipTM.
The European Drift-GP Championship will therefore be operated under a licence from World Drift GP Group of Companies by Niall Gunn and Drift-GP.com
Unveiling an exciting new era championship, the Drift GP series will feature a European calendar full of show-stopping venues across the continent – testing 100 drivers from 25 different nations. Featuring a great mix of high speed circuits, custom layouts, street circuits and a stadium environments, across 8 stops, the drivers will be pushed to their limits in 2017.
Round 1 French Drift GP – Tours SpeedWay May 27-30th (Drift-GP.com )
Kicks off the 2017 season for very first time on the Nascar Circuit of Tours speedway just outside Paris. After a break of 5 years the series returns to France, to the iconic Tours Speedway just south of Paris. Tours will really test drivers with its 9 degrees banking and concrete jungle, pushing drivers for the very first time on this type of course. It should throw up some big surprises.
Round 2 British Drift GP – Street Circuit June 17-18th (Drift-GP.com )
A first ever in Western Europe a professional drift event will be held on the public roads of the UK. A unique high speed battle, with no room for error, this course is being hand built and will truly test even the best of our drivers.
Round 3 Irish Drift GP – Global Warfare 3 Mondello Park July 1-2nd (Drift-GP.com )
The climatic end to the 2016 Global Warfare did not leave any stone uncovered. It was only fitting that a rematch was put in place to show the Irish who can really can take down their unbeaten streak. The record was brought down to the wire and with even more firepower coming in this record needs to be challemged.
Round 4 Swedish Drift GP – Grondal Motorsenter July 22-23rd (Drift-GP.com)
A return to Scandinavia, to one of the most unique circuits ever showcased on the tour, the Grondal circuit with its roller coaster undulating layout on the hills of Eskilstuna will again showcase the best from Sweden/Norway/Finland and Denmark against Europe’s best.
Round 5 German Drift GP(Reisbrennen Festival) -August 4-6th (Drift-GP.com )
German Drift GP makes its return to the Eurospeedway Lauschitz circuit. After a hugely successful opening year event the German fans and drivers have got a real appetite for the best drivers at this high speed layout. Can the top German drivers bounce back on home soil? Round 6- Hungarian Drift GP – September 2-3rd
Hungary has always played a special part of the calendar with its super enthusiastic fans. For 2017 an all new layout at the Hungaroring F1 Circuit, with a reverse high speed layout, should really test the drivers to the limit
Round 7 –European Drift GP September – Final Fight
No season would be complete without an epic final location. Combined with music, actions sports and more, this festival will showcase drifting at one of the most unique venues ever used in the sport of drifting….the wait will be worth it,.
To assist Drift-GP.com, World Drift GP will provide a Payment and administration facility World Drift-GP.com via World Drift World GP Finance Ltd and a contract management facility.
Drift-GP.com is not part of the World Drift GP Group of Companies. The contracting party for the above events will be Drift-GP.com.
